How to Use Internet Explorer

Your browser is what you use to surf the Internet. It interprets the Web Design Language of each site. A web consortium determines what will be universal terms and capabilities to be used in Web design. The problems that arise is that Microsoft and Netscape often add their own capabilities that can only be interpreted by their browsers. The capabilities are always changing for the better, so it is important that you keep your browser current. They are free. The following is to show you some of the features of Internet Explorer. The more you know, the better your browsing experience will be. Our aim is not to make you experts, but to make you sort of knowledgeable about what you are seeing. We'll explain a couple of things you will see, but not know what they mean. Beside the word "Address" is where the URL (Universal Resource Locator) goes and you will see http:// - this stands for Hyper Text Teleprocessing Protocol.  This is where you type the "web address" of where you want to go. With this level browser, it is not necessary to type all of the address.  Type the main address. example FLLAWONWEB, then depress the Ctrl key, while holding down the key, depress your Enter key and it will put in the www and the .com.
